Workshops

Tilly Sudsbury x Hwyl
2pm - 5pm
Join jeweller Tilly Sudsbury and Lydia Buckler for a new take on their beloved jewellery making workshop. Lean into small tactile form-making, deep meditative approaches and complementary movement modalities to welcome in the warmth and joy of spring.
We’ll begin with a Yoga practice with Lydia, where we’ll focus the mind, find flow state and learn to trust what the symphony of our minds and bodies can create.
From there we’ll move into a jewellery making charm class, where you’ll create your own charms from soft jeweller’s wax.
This material becomes soft and malleable when warm, allowing you to shape it into your desired form using your fingers and the carving tools provided.
At the end of the class, we’ll take your charms away for casting, transforming them into silver pendants ready for you to wear.
Your ticket price doesn’t include a chain - a decision made to keep the workshop as accessible as possible. You’ll have the option to add a chain for an additional £20 if you wish.
You’re welcome to make as many charms as you like within the session, and we can offer additional charms cast at a discounted rate.
Bring some ideas with you if you can, but if you’re unsure we’ll have samples for inspiration and can help you refine your designs on the day. Bear in mind we’ll be working fairly small to create traditional yet unique charms.
We can also offer optional additions on request:
Gold plating (£50) and gemstones (£20).
£105

Jessica Tremaine x Hwyl
1pm - 6pm
Enhance your daily rituals using the medium of clay. Create bowls, offering platforms, sculptures, incense or candle holders in this one day workshop.
You will be introduced to clay as a material and the various techniques you can employ to manipulate it to match your vision. As this will be leading up to Spring it is the perfect time to freshen up your routines and rituals. Be guided or self-led, and make as much or as little as you'd like.
Taught by Ceramicist Jessica Tremaine with 8 years in the art form and 3 years of teaching experience, you will be in safe hands. This will be a small group workshop with equal amounts of guidance and freedom offered to you on the day.
Over this 1-day workshop we will cover:
Slab building - An impactful way to build structure quickly.
Coiling - A classic hand-building technique to create work that allows the makers aesthetic to shine through.
Decorative techniques - Examples of applied designs will be shown should you wish to use them in your artworks.
This workshop is suitable for those with little to no experience in ceramics and those who are looking for space to develop their skills.
After crafting for a while, we’ll give ourselves time to settle into the body, stretching, resting, and gently dropping into the subtle body through restorative yoga. This offers space to deepen tactility and connection, both through the physical landscape and beyond.
£125
*members save 15% and split payments are welcomed
